New Launches I'm Excited About

19.jpg

I get inordinately excited when the end of the year rolls around, because December is by far my favorite month of the year (something tells me I am definitely not alone in this), and I feel like every thing comes to an exciting crescendo, replete with twinkling lights, gifts, nippy wind, and the New Year.

And a slew of new beauty releases of course.

Here’s a quick round up of some new releases, some really new and some just newish, that I’m keen to try in the coming weeks (I hope, if I can get my grubby little hands on them).

Charlotte Tilbury’s

Let’s start with my favorite brand of all, naturally, Charlotte Tilbury (if you want to read about how excited I am about her new flagship store in Dubai just click here, or find out about how I used her foundation at my wedding holy grail click here). These are the new products I just can’t wait to get my hands on.

Stars In Your Eye Eyeshadow Palette

I was over the moon when I finally got my first big Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette with the all original Instant Eye Palette. Let me tell you, that was pretty much all my friends got for their birthday gifts for some time there. But the new Stars in Your Eyes palette actually looks even more exciting to me. The colors are a lot more diverse than the original and the deeper color of the packaging actually looks like it might look a little more interesting on my dressing table. Great reason to buy it of course.

Magic Away Concealer

I love the Magic Foundation, as is well known around these parts, and so I was really, really excited at the idea of a brand new high coverage concealer from the Charlotte Tilbury house of everything beautiful. I haven’t seen the concealer in store yet but I can pretty much gauge my shade because I’m so familiar with the foundation, and I cant wait to try it out. I know there are some who aren’t super pleased with the sponge applicator, but I’m willing to give it a go. It reminds me of course, of the holy grail Maybelline concealer, but the truth is, that one never really worked for me. I have much higher hopes for this!

Bar of Gold Palette

I was always keen to try out the original Bar of Gold but highlight isn’t super high on my list of things to try generally speaking (I am super happy with my Huda Beauty Pink Sands and so I don’t stray very often), but I was always just a little curious about it, not least of all because of the super cute name and theme. But the palette on the other hand, that really tickles my fancy. And I have heard great things about it so why not!

Urban Decay

Urban Decay is that good solid makeup brand always hanging out in its corner giving us good solid new releases, isn’t it? The Urban Decay eyeshadows and sprays are a firm favorite and staple in my everyday makeup bag so not surprisingly I’m highly awaiting getting my hands on the following:

Born to Run Palette

The Naked 2 and Naked 3 are possibly some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes of all time, and I’m definitely not alone in saying this. I used a combination of the two on my wedding day, bridal shower, bachelorette party and my rehearsal dinner, so I think that’s enough said. The Born to Run palette intrigues me because of the pops of unusual color it’s got, paired with shades that are reminiscent of the penultimate Naked 2. Now I’m not huge on using color in my eyeshadow, unless that color is a neutral pink tone, but I am willing to give it a go just because the palette looks so fun, and you know what, a very little color does go a very long way.

Born to Run All Nighter Setting Spray

Now, I don’t know that this setting spray is any different to my usual holly grail setting spray, the All Nighter. But I like the interesting packing and it breaks up the look I’m really used to, so I’ll be stocking up!

Tarte

I just love how quirky and unusual Tarte products are and how inventive their packaging is, especially with their massive and seasonal palettes. I always want to buy more Tarte products than I could ever use just because they tickle my fancy that much.

Pineapple of My Eye Palette

So the new Pineapple of My Eye palette should come as no surprise really! It’s just so… different. I mean when was the last time one saw a makeup palette thats quite literally a pineapple cracked in half? Never is the only right answer. Picking this up asap.

Rainforest of the Sea Sizzle Palette

The absolutely beautiful Rainforest of the Sea Palette had me hovering about the Tarte counter at Sephora on many a trip, let me tell you. I can’t even recall the number of times I convinced myself I didn’t need its perfectly symmetrical array of shimmery shiny wonderfulness. This time, I don’t think I’ll fare as well. And you know, I’m not sorry about it! Because the sizzle palette is even prettier than the original, so hey, maybe it was a good thing I waited. But, no more.

Huda Beauty

The New Nude Palette

This new eyeshadow palette has really caught everyone’s attention, and it’s kind of easy to see why. First of all, it looks so much more minimal than some of the earlier releases (and minimal is honestly so much more accessible sometimes), and it’s not hard to see why! The colors are so soft, so pretty, and so useable looking. I haven’t even invested in a Huda Beauty eyeshadow palette before because most seemed a little too bold for me, but I am getting my hands on this as soon as I can!

The Overachiever Concealer

I tried the Huda Beauty Flawless Filter Foundation and I have to admit, it was far, far too heavy for me. But a heavy duty concealer? Yes, that I can get on board with! That I need! I was always waiting for Huda Beauty to bring out a concealer because it really felt like the one thing that was missing from the range. And yes, I totally obsessively watching Huda Boss and the whole story behind the concealer, so I am so glad I can finally, finally get my hands on this new masterpiece!

Jo Malone

Now, I have to be honest. I may be the only girl in the blogging world who doesn’t actually own anything from Jo Malone. I know, should I have admitted to that in print? It’s not like my husband hasn’t tried to buy me some lovely black and white Jo Malone goodness. He has, many times. But each time I walk in, I’m over taken by indecision and then I feel terribly guilty about spending all that money on something I’m not sure about. I have yet to crack that code and get my first, never to be burnt, candle. But this festive season I really intend to change that, because…

Ginger Biscuit and Orange Bitters

I don’t want to buy this, I want to eat it. I love ginger biscuits, I love orange biscuits, I love orange cake, I love ginger cake. Need I go on? I don’t know which of the range I’ll be picking, probably one of every thing if my husband has anything to say about it, but something is coming home with me this time.

White Moss and Snowdrop

I love everything that feels like winter, and apparently this is winter in a candle, body lotion, etc. The only issue is, how will I ever chose between ginger biscuits and perfectly packaged winter? I won’t, which is perfect, because then they can sit on my shelves forever, as they should! Done.

And that wraps up what I am looking forward to splurging on in the next couple of months, what are you looking forward to treating yourself to?
